M5 Networks Ranked 54th Fastest Growing Company in North America on Deloitte’s 2006 Technology Fast 500
CEO Attributes 4,445 Percent Revenue Growth to Unique Culture of Trustworthiness
October 19, 2006, New York – M5 Networks, one of the country’s leading outsourced IP phone system providers, today announced that it ranked Number 54 on Deloitte’s 2006 Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in North America. Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over five years, from 2001–2005.
M5 grew 4,445 percent during this period, more than double the average increase in revenues of 2,145 percent among the 500 companies on the list. Overall, companies that ranked on the 2006 Technology Fast 500 had growth rates ranging from 209 to 48,948 percent over five years.
Dan Hoffman, M5’s President and CEO, credits the company’s tremendous success to its employees’ constant hard work, focus and commitment to demonstrate and deliver the highest level of trustworthiness, sincerity, competence, reliability and service quality to its clients in order to distinguish M5 Networks from typical telecommunications service providers.
“To be recognized by Deloitte’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications team as one of the fastest growing companies in the country over the past five years is a tribute to our company’s culture of trustworthiness,” said Hoffman. “We feel this trait is especially important when dealing with our small and mid-size business clients who are actively seeking a partner they can trust to handle their critical telecommunications needs.
To ensure the company keeps its promises to its clients, M5 regularly conducts satisfaction surveys with each one. An overwhelming 94 percent of clients have said they would confidently recommend M5 Networks’ Outsourced IP Phone System to another business, an unparalleled measure that most other telecommunications companies don’t even track. “We are extremely proud of this mark and will continue striving to keep our clients’ trust," continued Hoffman.
“Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 companies have shown the strength, vision and tenacity to succeed in today’s very competitive technology environment,” said Tony Kern, deputy managing principal of Deloitte’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications industry practice. “M5 Networks has developed technology solutions that deliver in today’s highly competitive world, and we applaud their efforts, ingenuity and teamwork in becoming one of the fastest growing technology companies in North America.”
In addition to ranking on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500, M5 Networks ranked fifth on the New York Technology Fast 50, which is a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology firms in the region. Earlier this year, M5 Networks was also named to the Inc. 500 list of the nation’s fastest growing private companies.
Fast 500 Selection and Qualifying Criteria
The Fast 500 ranks the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in North America. It is compiled from Deloitte’s 16 regional North American Fast 50 programs, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500, and public company database research. Companies are selected based on percentage revenue growth from 2001 to 2005.
Entrants must own proprietary intellectual property or proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues or devote a significant proportion of revenues to research and development of technology. Using other companies' technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not qualify. Base-year operating revenues must be at least $50,000 USD or $75,000 CD, and current-year operating revenues must be at least $5 million USD or CD. Companies must be in business a minimum of five years, and they must be headquartered within North America. For more information on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 program, visit www.fast500.com.

M5 builds on that legacy by continually innovating to improve its outsourced phone system solution, which is delivering measurable ROI to companies in all industries. M5's core technology partners include Cisco, Verizon, AboveNet, Internap, Qwest, Broadwing and Tekelec.
Recognized as a leading company in the VoIP industry, M5 was named to the 2006 Inc. 500 and to Deloitte’s 2006 New York Technology Fast 50 Program and 2006 Technology Fast 500. 2006-10-16 Billing is Our Business..
2006-10-16 U-Link Telecom SA is a newly incorporated company and is an initiative of Mr. Miko Rwayitare , a well known pioneer of Telecommunication in Africa. With the acquisition of the assets and business of Traff-X, U-Link Telecom is offering telecommunication services on the international telephony wholesale market and is operating as the international Hub for the group’s sub Saharan mobile and fix operators.
Mr. Rwayitare has founded back in 1985 the cellular company Telecel in Kinshasa, the first of a total of 12 mobile companies in different sub Saharan countries that were all sold in 2000 to the Egyptian stock listed multinational Orascom.
In 2003, a demerger was agreed between Mr. Rwayitare and Orascom and GSM networks were acquired in Burundi, Uganda and Central Africa Republic. With plans to roll-out 3G and CDMA2000 technology in Uganda, DR Congo, Nigeria, Kenya and Tanzania and with the ability to use the group's direct routes and interconnection agreements with other major telecommunication players, as well as the group's benefits of scale and efficiency, U-Link Telecom is in a position to rapidly gain a strong foothold on the international telecommunications market.
The association of the access to African Markets, the fast growing VoIP markets worldwide and the acquisition of the know-how and technology developed by Traff-X will be a major key to success.
Our Services
The emergence of VoIP and its new players on the telephony market, together with the need to be interconnected to TDM networks, brought a new dimension to the complexity of interconnections between telecommunications networks. Based on the state-of-the art multi-operator, multi-protocol switching platform acquired from Traff-X, U-Link Telecom is today’s natural choice for all voice players worldwide, without distinction of transmission method (TDM or VoIP).
Moreover, by having developed several added-value services, U-Link Telecom enables new virtual service providers to offer a variety of services, based on the best routing and billing algorithms. All Switching Equipment and Operating Systems are assembled and developed by U-Link Telecom. This allows us to offer you the tailor made solution that really fits your business requirements.
